Despite ‘Rona messing with the world of comic conventions, PeoriaCon 2021 is still happening!
This Saturday, October 2nd, PeoriaCon will feature nearly 100 vendors, artists, authors, cosplayers, and special guests. PeoriaCon is primed to be one of the best shows in the Midwest this year, and certainly one of the biggest and most exciting events in Peoria.
Yours truly (and my talented and lovely wife, author Charis Crowe) will have our full range of fantastic books on display for hungry readers to devour.
Attendees of last year’s PeoriaCon will recognize familiar favorites like Ignite, Charis’s debut novel, and Ben Wolf’s Blood Mercenaries fantasy series. They’ll also have access to two of Ben Wolf’s newly completed trilogies–the Tech Ghost trilogy (of which The Ghost Mine, Ben Wolf’s sci-fi/horror classic, takes the lead) and his latest series, The Call of Ancient Light, a series of coming-of-age fantasy novels.
PeoriaCon is taking place at the Expo Gardens at the Peoria County Fairgrounds. You can find a map with the event’s location on the PeoriaCon website. Admission costs only $10.00, and parking is totally free.
From PeoriaCon’s website: “PeoriaCon® has proven that the Midwest has been craving a quality event like this for years. Since we have begun hosting this amazing event, the public has supported us from Chicago to St. Louis and everywhere in between! We are ready for another great year with the best comic book, cosplay, and gaming convention fun in the area. We are lining up all of your favorites dealers for this year’s show. – Artists – Special Guests – Comic book dealers – Cosplay Contest with best of show cash prizes! – Games – Collectibles – Your favorite loot dealers!”
PeoriaCon will also feature a cosplay contest for both those 17 and under and those 18 and up. In addition, the event will also host multiple panels and workshops that cover a range of nerdy topics.
Don’t miss this incredible event. Come on out to PeoriaCon this weekend and say hello! (And don’t forget to grab some of our awesome books, too!)
